Equine Haemostatic Powder

This haemostatic powder can be formed into a putty (by mixing with sterile saline) which can be moulded into many shapes to conform to the area of concern. This putty is an excellent delivery agent for antibiotics such as Doxycycline which also has the benefit of healing pockets by stimulation of fibroblasts. Made from pharmaceutical grade gelatin it is designed for use in pockets, hard to reach or irregular areas, oozing spongy bone and for filling any cavity or fissure. The powder may be used dry or mixed with saline to form a paste of different consistencies which can be achieved by varying the powder-to-fluid ratio. Haemostasis is achieved in less than 2 minutes and is absorbed completely within 4 weeks leaving no residue or encapsulation.

Available as 1gm bottle of powder with or without 10mls of sterile saline.
