Description
There is a degree of skill and understanding required for the successful use of a scaler. Position the scaler so that 1/3rd of the blade is positioned under the deposit. Adjust position so that the blade is at an angle of approximately 85 degrees to the tooth surface. Apply lateral pressure and firmly pull the instrument upwards to dislodge deposits. The dual bladed sides allow the instrument to be used on both mesial and distal aspects of the tooth, but care must be taken not to damage soft tissue.
Remember that AVS will recycle your old instruments. When you send us your old dental or surgical instruments the stainless steel is recycled and used to make the handles of brand new AVS veterinary dental instruments. Help us by acting responsibly to care for our environment.
